Turtle - Olive Green

The design that represents a turtle, an animal sacred to many American Indian groups, may reflect a relationship to the underworld. Because of her role in the creation story of the Lakota, the turtle is a sacred animal. It can also represent strength, fertility, long life, perseverance. This tile is glazed in our glossy crackle Olive Green (WA-6), and measures approximately 4x4", varying slightly due to its handmade nature.
